Meet Rachelle “Chelle”

Rachelle Valenzuela is a classical oil-painter living in South Florida. Raised in a tiny town in Texas, her passion for creating art began as a small child. That enthusiasm grew over her formative years, as evidenced by her rather large collection of drawings and paintings from her childhood.

While studying at a business college in Utah, she met her husband now of nine years. They have two inseparable little girls and the most patient dog, who is often seen wearing dresses and attending tea parties. After her second daughter was born in 2021, Rachelle’s creative focus transitioned to oil painting.

Rachelle began her oil-painting journey with a fascination of classical oil paintings at various art museums. Her curiosity turned into practice as she learned to paint from home with online tutorials, a few online and in-person classes, as well as taking a few months of private lessons. She enjoys painting still-life and portraiture and is aesthetically inspired by early 20th century European and American classical art.

When she’s not painting in her home studio, you can find her traveling with her family, reading mystery novels on the beach, working as a volunteer for children with the church she attends, or drinking a Diet Coke while she updates her website bio.
